Responsibilities:

  1. Planting: Sowing seeds or transplanting seedlings into greenhouse beds or containers.
  2. Watering: Ensuring proper irrigation and maintaining appropriate soil moisture levels for plant growth.
  3. Fertilizing: Applying fertilizers and nutrients to support plant development.
  4. Pruning: Trimming and pruning plants to promote healthy growth and shape.
  5. Pest and Disease Control: Monitoring for pests and diseases and implementing control measures as necessary.
  6. Harvesting: Harvesting fruits, vegetables, or flowers when they reach maturity.
  7. Packaging: Preparing and packaging harvested products for distribution.
  8. Record-Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of planting schedules, crop yields, and other relevant data.
  9. Cleaning and Sanitation: Keeping the greenhouse environment clean and sanitized to prevent the spread of diseases.
  10. Equipment Operation: Using and maintaining greenhouse equipment, such as watering systems, climate control systems, and hand tools.

Qualifications:

  1. Basic Plant Knowledge: Understanding the needs and growth patterns of different plants cultivated in the greenhouse.
  2. Physical Stamina: Greenhouse work can be physically demanding, involving standing for long periods, lifting, and repetitive tasks.
  3. Attention to Detail: Noticing and addressing issues like plant diseases, pests, or irregular growth.
  4. Teamwork: Collaborating with other greenhouse workers and supervisors.
  5. Communication Skills: Communicating effectively with team members and supervisors.
  6. Adaptability: Adjusting to changes in plant conditions, weather, and seasonal demands.
  7. Basic Technical Skills: Operating and maintaining simple greenhouse equipment.
  8. Problem-Solving: Identifying and resolving issues affecting plant health.
